Cendant Mobility's company-wide commitment to increasing the business opportunities for minority- and women-owned businesses is supported by our Diversified Supplier Recruitment Program. Our goal is to maximize participation through the development of mutually beneficial business relationships with these firms on all contracting and subcontracting levels.
Background
Our plan is intended to build an awareness of the social responsibility of our company, our employees, and our partners and subcontractors to provide opportunities for minority- and women-owned businesses.
Our plan is not a response to outside regulatory agencies or mandatory requirements; rather, it is a pro-active effort to recognize and support programs that enhance the communities we serve and provide an economic stimulus for businesses owned by minorities and women.
Membership Principles
Cendant Mobility encourages the recruitment, training, and qualification of minority- and women-owned businesses. We will identify minority- and women-owned suppliers, and will orient those who are not familiar with Cendant Mobility as to who we are, what functions we perform, and what we expect from our suppliers. This includes assistance through a mentor program for those suppliers who seek opportunities with Cendant Mobility but are unfamiliar with our business methods.
Cendant Mobility expects each level of subcontractor to participate in our program. We expect our first-tier subcontractors (brokers, appraisers, inspectors, and closing agents) to be active in seeking out and utilizing second-tier subcontractors and report that utilization to Cendant Mobility on a regular basis. Any independent contractor qualifies (which, in the case of real estate broker firms, generally includes individual agents who operate as independent contractors).
